How do I arrange a quote?

Contact us- and we will arrange a suitable time to visit your site and evaluate your requirements. We provide much more than just a quote. Our experienced technical team will ask many questions to gain a comprehensive understanding of your requirements, followed up with a bespoke proposal and quote.

During your site visit, what questions should I prepare to answer?

We will need to understand when you intend on undertaking the project. Can it be completed during business hours or over a weekend, long weekend or shutdown period? Are chemicals or acids going to contact the coating? Is the area subjected to hot or cold, what temperatures? Is mechanical abrasion such as forklifts expected? What degree of non-slip is required, if any? Is food taint a probable or potential issue? Is the work to be staged over multiple visits?  What serviceable life do you expect?  What is my budget? What inductions or 3rd party portals are required to work on site? Do you have resources for waste disposal, or will we need to remove it from site? Do you have a plan or drawings of the facility? Contact us to arrange a technical assessment and quote.

What brands do you apply?

There are two answers to this question, the short answer is…. all reputable brands

1.Projects we have been awarded by builders – the designer, specifier, architect or facility owner has already done their research and specified a particular brand and system, we are obliged to apply what is specified. With decades in the industry, we are certified or approved applicators for many reputable brands.

2.Projects direct for the end user – we have the flexibility to call on our decades of industry expertise and recommend the most “fit for purpose” solution, often from multiple material suppliers. This approach provides our clients with the best possible outcome.

Some of the brands we apply are….

Ardex, Avista, Bauer Epoxies, Dulux, Epimax, Flowcrete, Fosroc, Hempel, Hychem, Mapei, Nuplex, Parchem, Sika, Suresheild, Tremco, Ucrete

Is epoxy flooring “Food Safe”?

Yes, however there is a difference between “Food Safe” and “Suitable for Food Storage” or water potable coatings.

For flooring and wall coatings in a typical food and beverage production facility “Food Safe” products include Polyurethane Cement (PU Cement), 100 % solids epoxies (no solvent) and water-based epoxies and polyurethanes.

For Food Storage coatings, such as vessels or tanks that food or beverage is stored or proceed in, specialized non- toxic epoxy coatings are available from numerous material suppliers, these products in their cured state have been tested for food taint, to AS 4020:2018 and are water potable with certificates to verify the claim. Contact us to discuss your project.

Can you apply coatings to new “green” concrete?

Some coatings, solvent based epoxies require a concrete moisture content of less than 4.5%, this is generally achieved when the concrete is 28 days old. The additional application of moisture barriers can be applied to combat this issue when projects have time constraints, alternately selection of another coating may be preferred.

Polyurethane Cements on the other hand can be applied to “green” concrete, as early as 3 days after concrete pour.

How long does the coating take to cure?

Depends – we apply so many types of coatings, some that have very fast return to service, as little as one hour, epoxies can be trafficked in one day but require up to 7 days to achieve full cure, some PU Cements are full cure within 24 hours and are the preferred system for most food and beverage applications. Working direct with industry you can be assured that we are applying a system that fits with the required timeframes. Contact us to discus your requirements

How do I clean my newly applied floor and what tools do I need?

Cleaning your newly applied floor is going to be on the forefront of priorities to maintain longevity, appearance, and sanitation of your floor within your specific work environment. Warm to hot water with a diluted industrial cleaner should be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s directions. Commercial floors in some cases may require the use of a scrubber that functions as a drier. The use of scrapers and hard tools should be avoided, using a soft bristle broom, vacuum and mop to remove dust, dirt and debris.
